Some projects completed.

My 'Twisting Twenty' quilt is finished now and beautifully quilted by LG Quilting at Portland. It was a lot of fun to make this quilt. A good way of using up 20 fat quarters.

While I love making quilts and will continue to do so, I thought it would be nice to make something else for a change. So I made this shopping bag. The pattern is in a book called Sew Serendipity Bags. Its called a Green Grocery Bag. It's one of those bags that you keep in your handbag and then pull it out when you realise you need a bag. Hence....

It was a lot of fun to make and holds quite a lot of stuff. I made the medium sized bag.

Our garden at home is looking beautiful at the moment. Last spring we were away on our wonderful trip around Australia so we missed all the lovely azaleas and other flowering plants in all their glory.

I will leave you with a picture of Chloe, the orphan wombat. She has put on so much weight but is a wriggly worm to hold onto!

  1. Oh how cute - a baby wombat!! Did you just find her or was she allocated by a rescue service? I love the colours you used in your Twisted Twenty. I was looking at my ratty tatty shopping bags the other day and decided I need to sew some pretty ones. Yours looks great, very nifty the way it folds up. Lovely spring flowery photos!
