Signs of Spring

The garden at Mt Victoria is largely native bush with a few hardy plants that have survived years and years of neglect. Even a poor little cyclamen in the fernery has managed a single flower.

We have recently planted some bulbs and some lavender but just last week two of the old fruit trees have burst into bloom.

Here are a few pics of the little hints of colour in the otherwise fairly drab landscape.

Even these small spots of colour brighten up the garden no end and inspire our efforts to get more colourful plants flowering in the garden. I have planted a whole stack of gladioli bulbs and am really looking forward to them coming up in the summer.
